Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA)

This Privacy Policy is implemented in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, also known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA), and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, as enforced by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) of the Republic of the Philippines.

As an operator of an online educational game that collects and processes personal data (such as account information and learning progress), we ensure that all data processing activities comply with the requirements of the DPA.

Lawful Processing of Personal Data

In accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012, personal data processed through the Game follows these core principles:

1. Transparency

Users are informed about what data is collected, why it is collected, and how it is used.

2. Legitimate Purpose

Data is processed only for lawful purposes related to account creation, progress saving, and system improvement.

3. Proportionality

We collect only the data necessary for the Game's functionality. We do not collect excessive personal info.

Microphone and Voice Data (Mobile)

  • Microphone access is requested only when the feature is activated.
  • There is no background or continuous recording.
  • Voice input is converted into text for pronunciation evaluation.
  • Raw voice recordings are not permanently stored.
  • Recording can be stopped by the user at any time.
  • Voice input is transmitted securely for evaluation purposes.

User Rights Under the DPA

  • Be informed about data processing
  • Access their personal data
  • Request correction of inaccuracies
  • Request deletion of their data
  • Withdraw consent for optional features

Users may also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission if they believe their data rights have been violated.
